With the State Government urging people to get vaccinated against Covid, now is the time for the government to step up by providing mass Covid vaccination hubs across the Western Downs.

Western Downs residents need easier access to the vaccine should they choose to be vaccinated.

Local doctors and pharmacies are doing their very best and I thank them for the work they are doing.

With the Western Downs Local Government area only reporting 21 per cent total doses ** it is lagging well behind the state average.

Mass vaccination clinics have shown their success in other communities like Goondiwindi Regional Council 50.6 per cent total doses**.

Mass vaccination hubs across the Western Downs are needed now.

I have called on the State Labor Government in Parliament, to provide mass vaccination clinics for Dalby, Tara, Moonie, Miles and Chinchilla as a matter of urgency.

This Western Downs vaccination rate must increase above 21 per cent urgently, as is too low for a region so near to the border.
