FOUR people have tragically been killed this evening in a crash north of Stanthorpe on the New England Highway.
The crash occurred about 5.30pm when a truck collided with a car at The Summit, a locality between Stanthorpe and Warwick.
The crash occurred at the intersection of the New England Highway and Granite Belt Drive. It’s understood to have been a ‘t-bone’ collision.
All four occupants of the car died at the scene. The driver of the truck was taken to hospital within non-life-threatening injuries.
Northbound lanes of the New England Highway are blocked and traffic is being diverted via Granite Belt Drive.
More to come.
