A MAN in his 30s was flown to hospital suffering serious injuries last night, after he was thrown from his vehicle when it crashed and rolled into a ditch on the Western Downs.

Paramedics responded to the single vehicle crash on Yulabilla Road at Yulabilla, near Condamine, around 7.30pm Saturday.

Three other occupants of the SUV managed to escape uninjured.

The Roma-based LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) helicopter crew was called to the scene, meeting QAS paramedics on the ground, treating the driver for head injuries and internal bleeding.

The man was airlifted to the Princess Alexandria Hospital in a serious condition.
